Have a restful stay at The Peace Abbey Bed & Breakfast in Sherborn, MA. The Guest House sits on three acres surrounded by forest and pasture land where overnight accommodations are available for individuals or small groups. Lodging is provided in the tradition of New England religious retreat centers with a focus on reflection, meditation and spiritual rejuvenation. We are located 40 minutes from Boston,  10 minutes from Wellesley, Natick, and Framingham and 20 minutes from the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 128.

Guest Information

Rooms and Rates
The Peace Abbey is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. Rates listed are the only steady income the Abbey has. Rates range from $90 to $110.

Cancellation Policy
Guest that register in advance must realize that cancellation impacts negatively on the finances of the Abbey and are encouraged to make a donation if they must cancel and the room has been put aside.

Restrictions
No smoking. No pets in the rooms. Vegetarian meals only (no fish). It is not advised that children under the age of 10 stay at the Guest House as fellow guests come for a quiet, meditative experience. The Guesthouse is licensed to provide overnight accommodations for registered guests only. Under no circumstances may a guest host an event/gathering while staying at the Abbey Guesthouse.

Meals
The Abbey provides a continental breakfast which is in the refrigerator for our guests to enjoy at their leisure. Guests are welcome to bring their own vegetarian ingredients and use the kitchen facilities. Catered meals for groups can be arranged through the Abbey office (508) 655-2143.

Check-in any time after 2:00 PM, Check out by 12:00 noon. Luggage can be stored temporarily, if needed.

Hiking trails, bicycling, wildlife sanctuary, fresh water swimming, canoeing, and horseback riding nearby.

The Accommodations

We have four rooms with access to the multi-faith chapel, livingroom with fireplace, and the study room which offers a comfortable place to read peace and peace movement periodicals, books and selected articles from around the world taken from acclaimed pacifist authors. A third floor sitting room is available to all guests throughout the day and evening and offers courtesy viewing of films from our extensive peace and justice video library.

The Guesthouse is licensed to provide overnight accommodations for registered guests only. Under no circumstances may a guest host an event/gathering while staying at the Abbey Guesthouse. (Conference Center rental: $100 first hour, $50 each additional.)

Room One has access to the porch overlooking the Pacifist Memorial with its 9 foot bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi. It has a double bed and a working fireplace and private bath. Enclosed outdoor shower available.

Room Two has a double and a single and shares a porch with room one. The room faces north towards the barn where the cows and pigs enjoy their life in sanctuary. This room shares the hallway full bathroom.

Room Three has a double and single bed with a shared hallway bathroom and use of enclosed outdoor shower. Shared porch overlooks pasture and is situated just right to catch the rising sun each morning while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

Room Four has three single beds, a shared porch which overlooks the pasture. An adjoining bathroom can be either shared or private.
